Take the Road Not Taken
Robert Frost’s poem speaks to me. I love life. Life is full of adventure with all it’s twists and turns. Coaching makes life more focused. Pastoring reminds me we are only here for a while.
Every day is a new adventure; a chance to make an impact, discover something about God, or lift someone around me. It’s why I’m here.
I’m a grace filled traveler. I’m here to lift up the people around me, share how Jesus’ story gives me hope.
Loyal, dependable, faithful I work hard to follow through.
Who am I?
As a dad, a dreamer and a believer, I help people see more success. As a coach, encourager, supporter and cheer-leader, clients and friends find the courage to explore new ideas, new ways of looking at life and new opportunities. I’ve seen success and failure; everyday my goal is to be better, stronger and more of a servant.
I am a 46 years old. My kids are in college. My wife’s a teacher. I reside in Raleigh but I work globally.
My background includes a BA in Psychology, an MDiv in Church Ministry, various financial licenses, an ordination, a coaching certificate and even a defensive driving award.
I’ve worked as a Youth Pastor, an Assistant Pastor, a Fedex Courier, a Barista, a Financial Advisor and an Interim Pastor.
I enjoy guitar, movies and especially spending time with my family.
What’s my Purpose?
I’m a pastor, connector, a teacher, a builder, an entrepreneur, an idea machine that loves to design, refine and understand. It’s not enough to sit and watch; I need to participate, to get involved and see things improve. I’m driven to add value, to question, to assess with a view of adding clarity, passion and focus.
My purpose is to help others explore their lives and live their best life. I’m a listener, a question-asker and a coffee roaster/drinker who enjoys sharing stories. Life seems to weave itself at times without our control or influence. We all need help, encouragement and someone to believe in us. I’m here to help others discover their best life.
My heart feels more alive when I help others. I like money and want to care for my family but I feel most alive when I help others. I’m here to serve.
I’m a listener, hope-giver, faith builder and lifter. People who spend time with me walk taller, jump higher and dream bigger. They have better lives, better families and earn more money.
God has place me on this earth to reflect his grace into every relationship, struggle or challenge. Jesus has impressed me with his life, his loving care for people and his sacrifice. As I follow Jesus I find my life feels more complete and my heart feels more alive. My theology isn’t neat and compact; God’s ways don’t always make sense but they seem to me to be the best way to my best life.
It’s the Road I’ve Taken that’s made all the difference.
